Guidalberto 2021 75 cl Tenuta San Guido
Tenuta San GuidoGuidalberto is the younger brother of Sassicaia.
Guidalberto 2021 Tenuta San Guido is a vintage of great quality, although it has not been generous in quantity.
Produced with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, a slow malolactic fermentation. Aging in 225 liter French and American oak barrels lasts 15 months, 40% in new wood, 40% in second passage wood and 20% in third and fourth passage. The refinement ends after 3 months in the bottle.
Guidalberto Tenuta San Guido is a wine of almost disarming finesse and elegance, which now enjoys its own identity and no longer lives in the shadow of Sassicaia.
The bouquet plays a lot on the fruit, and then notes of leather and black pepper come out. Velvety and savory on the palate, despite the great structure, the drink remains fresh and satisfying, with a very persistent savory finish.
