Chianti Classico 2021 75 cl Castellare di Castellina
CastellareThe Chianti Classico DOCG Castellina di Castellare is a Tuscan red wine made from Sangiovese and Canaiolo. Refined in French barrels and with an elegant character, hints of red fruits, vanilla and liquorice.
The Chianti Classico from the Castellare di Castellina winery is a red belonging to the Tuscan tradition, whose grapes date back to the times of the Etruscans and the Romans.
The native vineyards that compose it, Sangioveto and Canaiolo, are located on the central hills of the region, at an altitude between 350 and 400 metres, on sandy and calcareous soil, very sunny, with optimal characteristics for complete maturation of the grapes.
This Chianti Classico DOCG Castellare di Castellina is produced from vines grown with the upside-down Guyot method. Once the grapes are ready, the harvest takes place in October. After vinification in steel, malolactic fermentation takes place and finally refinement in 2.25 and 5 hl French oak barrels for 7 months which ends in the bottle after another 7 months.
Chianti Classico Castellare is a ruby red wine with brilliant purple reflections. The aromas hover between aromas of cherry, red fruits and hints of vanilla and liquorice. In the mouth, the tannins give harmony to this red, expressing a pleasant sweetness and flavor.
