Moscato Rosa 2019 37.5 cl Franz Haas
Haas FranzMoscato Rosa Franz Haas, a red dessert wine that ages for a few months in steel barrels, a process that gives it a lively freshness, spicy notes and a citrus touch. A wine that fascinates for its aroma, perfect to be enjoyed in relaxation, with dry pastries or chocolate-based desserts.
Franz Haas' Moscato Rosa is an elegant and structured South Tyrolean dessert wine.
The Moscato Rosa vines grow at an altitude between 250 and 300 meters in a very ventilated area. The wind is essential to avoid the stagnation of humidity that would cause the development of molds such as botrytis, which would lead to a decrease in the coloring intensity and destroy the multiplicity of aromatic components. The soils chosen for Moscato Rosa are south / south-west oriented and are composed of a mixture of porphyry, sand, clay and limestone.
The Moscato Rosa grapes are vinified as a red wine, but with a short maceration to avoid the extraction of too astringent tannins. When the desired characteristics are achieved, fermentation is interrupted with the help of the cold. The young wine then remains in steel barrels until bottling.
Franz Haas' Moscato Rosa has a bright ruby red color, with aromas of lively freshness and an intense aromatic bouquet with notes of rose, cloves, cinnamon and orange peel. On the palate the wine enchants with a complex structure and a fascinating game between acidity, sweetness and tannin.
A very special sweet wine that ranges from being an aperitif wine to a meditation wine. It is an excellent accompaniment to dry chocolate cakes, berry tarts and cocoa-based desserts.
