Idda is the new project by Gaja, in collaboration with Graci, on the south west side of the Etna, the lesser known side of the volcano. The wines produced are only two, one white and one red and the intent is to enhance with a single bottle all the potential of the Etna terroir.

The Sicilian white Idda was born from carricante grapes that ferment in steel tanks and then rest 12 months in large oak barrels.

This is a sharp white, savory and very pleasant, with not only floral and fresh notes but also brackish and of stone.

We find perfection with a glass of white Idda in one hand and one orange in the other!
