Coulee de Serrant 2021 75 cl Nicolas Joly
Joly NicolasNicolas Joly is an authentic master of biodynamics and among the first to apply the concepts of this philosophy to the world of wine.
The Coulée de Serrant Nicolas Joly is a wine made from Chenin Blanc grapes, the Coulée de Serrant vineyard has centenary origins, it was planted around the year 1130 by the Cistercian monks. Now the average age of the vines is 60 years.
The vineyards are located in the western part of the Loire, where La Coulée de Serrant becomes a denomination in its own right; today there are 7 hectares owned by the Joly family, which are cultivated partly by hand and on horseback, due to the steepness of the slopes overlooking the Loire.
The Chenin Blanc grapes ferment spontaneously in very old barriques and the wine then stays in the same barrels in contact with its yeasts for 8 months. This wine is certified organic.
Coulee de Serrant Nicolas Joly is a powerful and legendary wine, with truly incredible evolutionary potential.
Its floral aromas, with notes of ripe apricots, grapefruit and honey. On the palate it is dynamic, with a continuous freshness that gives it length and pleasantness and an exceptional tasting complexity, an exciting and very elegant wine.
