Sommerberg is one of the best-known grand crus in Alsace, above all for the appalling slope which makes vine cultivation extremely difficult; the soil is granite, perfect for the best expression of Riesling.

Zind Humbrecht's version is very traditional, with vinification and aging in foudres, the Alsatian casks.

Riesling Sommerberg Zind Humbrecht is a white wine that shows great freshness on the nose, with citrus and tropical fruit in the foreground, followed by mineral and sulphurous notes; it is vibrant on the palate, with great acidity which gives the wine incredible evolutionary potential.
