Barthenau S.Urbano is one of the greatest South Tyrolean Pinot noirs. It comes from the vineyard of the same name, one of the most important of the Hofstatter family.

After the manual harvest with selection of the bunches, 75% of the grapes are destemmed, another 25% remains intact for barrel fermentation. The fermentation takes place partly in steel and partly in barrique for 10 days and the refinement continues for almost two years, first in small French oak barrels and then in large barrels. Maturation ends after another 8 months in the bottle in the cellars of the Barthenau estate.

The Barthenau S. Urbano Hofstatter Pinot Noir is a sensual wine, with an aromatic range of great finesse and elegance and a soft sip, a beautiful freshness and velvety tannic texture that make drinking delicious.
